No researchers were harmed in the making of this test suite
What if UX research could move as fast as modern product development — without losing its soul?
In this talk, I’ll share how I created an automated, self-service UX testing method. When my global design team was out due to the Norwegian holiday season (but deadlines remained), I was forced to be creative: I built a 100% automated test framework with Figma Make that captured real user behavior - clicks, misclicks, task times, and screen recordings - async, flexible, and scalable. Within a week, we collected quantitative insights from dozens of users while freeing time for deep interviews. I even automated CSV analysis to reduce manual work.
This approach isn’t just a hack - it’s a shift in how UX research can live inside rapid prototyping cycles, powered by creative tooling, async collaboration, and a practical “good enough” mindset.
You’ll learn how it works, what we discovered (the good, the bad, and the hilarious), and how teams with limited researchers, time, or budget can adapt it.
Safe by design: the UX of secure banking
When it comes to banking applications, security is non-negotiable, but so is the user experience. With sensitive financial data on the line, ensuring that users interact securely with your platform is crucial.
This talk will explore how UX design can be the unsung hero in protecting banking applications from security breaches. When UX and IT security work together, users are guided safely through complex security features without frustration or error. By focusing on intuitive design, we can reduce risky behaviors like bypassing 2FA, and ultimately build trust in digital banking systems.
Let us discover how seamless UX can be your first line of defense in the fight against cyber threats, and learn why good security design is just as important as good security code.

The irresistible UX: the psychology of brainwaves and clickbait
This presentation dives into how understanding the human brain’s wiring can lead to more intuitive, engaging, and seamless user experiences. By leveraging cognitive biases, psychological principles, and neuroscience insights, we can design interfaces and workflows that feel natural to users, guide their behavior, and create habit-forming interactions. We'll explore how to reduce friction in digital products, keeping users engaged and making interactions almost instinctive.

The ripple effect: how information architecture transforms your product, company, and (almost) everything
Many companies, especially those started by engineers, initially focus on building a great product. However, as they grow, maintaining organized and scalable information architecture (IA) becomes challenging. This talk highlights the importance of IA for a company’s success, using a mobile app company as an example to illustrate the issues and provide solutions. A well-structured IA ensures sustainable growth, user-friendly products, and aligned teams, ultimately enhancing the product, user experience, and overall organization for continued success.
The structure: we'll start with a brief introduction, followed by outlining the scenario (the problem) involving a niche software application's information architecture. After grasping the situation, we'll examine the impact of initial missteps and identify the exact issues. With all the data in hand, we'll provide a step-by-step guide to untangling the chaos. Next, we'll explore advanced steps to further improve the information architecture and discuss the benefits for the organization.

How to train your designer?
How can one effectively engage with a designer in a collaborative effort? What strategies and methods should be employed when communicating with a designer, and how can one articulate requests and inquiries? In what ways can a designer deliver results that align with your requirements for practical use? Is there room for refining communication skills or expressing thoughts in alternative ways? Are there approaches to integrate a designer into your workflows, fostering an environment where they naturally align their processes with yours for future collaborations?

The cost of not having a designer
Imagine engineers building a software, when suddenly the need for design becomes evident. Late integration of design can lead to challenges, much like fitting a square peg into a round hole. Discover the importance of harmonious collaboration between engineers, design teams, management and other stakeholders, and explore the benefits of embracing design early on to enhance user satisfaction and drive innovation in the tech industry. Prioritize design as a strategic asset to transform organizations and products, ultimately boosting market competitiveness.
How to grow in UX
It's always inspiring to explore potential UX growth journeys together, sharing ideas and learning from each other as we navigate this vast field. I’m really looking forward to meeting like-minded people and having meaningful discussions. We're all on this path, growing and evolving together!
